Working online is a great to engage with accent work. You are able to find nuances within the accent and get instant focused feedback. Within this course you’ll explore the strong, confident and muscular vocal energy that is so fundamental to this accent by engaging with its resonance, shape and placement. You’ll work creatively through Zoom at sounding and feeling American.

We will include work on:

  • Breath and bodywork to create a ‘whole accent’
  • Sound placement/resonant focus
  • USA glossary and ‘give away sounds’
  • Exploring key vowel and consonant changes physically; analysing tongue and mouth movement
