Audition Content
The audition will be split into two parts:
Improvisation
You will create improvised scenes and conversations under the guidance of the assessors. What we’re looking for here is your spontaneity, your ability to respond to cues and impulses, and your commitment to your imagined circumstances.
Performance
You will be split into pairs to work on the prepared duologue, which you will perform twice for the assessors. Following your first performance, you will be given notes which you should ensure you factor into your second performance. What we’re looking for here is your connection to the character’s circumstances, your ability to relate these to your own experiences and imagination, and your connection to the other actor.
Audition Results
At Identity School of Acting, we endeavour to notify all auditionees of their results status within 7 – 10 working days. Should you have any queries with regard to your application, please email [email protected], and a member of our applications team will get back to you shortly.
If you apply to IDSA and are not accepted, you can apply again after six months. We recommend you take some one-to-one coaching before reapplying.
