Fola Evans-Akingbola is a British actress recognised for her performances as Maddie Bishop in the Freeform series “Siren” and as American Secret Service agent Chelsea Arrington in the 2023 Netflix series “The Night Agent.” Her other notable credits include appearances in “Youngers” (2014), “Holby City” (2014), “Death in Paradise” (2016), “Game of Thrones” (2016), “Black Mirror” in the episode “Striking Vipers” (2019), and “Ten Percent” (2022).

Identity School of Acting

Fola Evans-Akingbola’s acting journey was significantly shaped by her training at top drama school Identity School of Acting. She participated in courses such as audition technique, text & performance, radio plays & audiobooks, monologues, Stanislavski, Meisner, improvisation, screen acting and voice. Fola was a standout talent in her screen course, which focused on practical work on film and television scripts, helping her land her role as the American secret service agent Chelsea Arrington in the Netflix series “The Night Agent”. 

Fola’s initial acting roles were in the BBC series “Youngers” (2014) and “Holby City” (2014). She later appeared in the BBC series “Death in Paradise” before joining the cast of the HBO hit “Game of Thrones” in 2016, portraying the second wife of Khal Moro. 

Since 2018, she has portrayed marine biologist Madelyn Bishop in the series “Siren.” In addition to her acting roles, she has also ventured into directing, co-writing, and producing a short film titled “Grandma’s 80th Surprise” and has contributed voiceover work for Assassin’s Creed video games. 

In 2019, she appeared in an episode of Netflix’s “Black Mirror” titled “Striking Vipers” as Mariella, a Millennial woman involved in a shallow relationship with the protagonist Karl. 

Evans-Akingbola is set to portray US secret agent Chelsea Arrington in the 2023 Netflix series “The Night Agent.”
